In pre-Columbian era, the power attributes of sovereigns in pre-Hispanic times were represented by the jaguar. The ceramics for the exclusive use of the Indian hierarch were made in the form of a jaguar, to show who had the authoritarian power of the tribe to which they belonged.
Nicarao, was an existing chief in a stage of conquest and Spanish domination. The chief had dominions that were between the lake of Nicaragua and the Pacific coast.
